Mounjaro comes in a pre-filled KwikPen and is injected just under the skin once a week. When the administration instructions are followed, it can be used at home.
You can inject into:
• Stomach — at least 5 cm (2 inches) away from your belly button
• Thigh — the front of either thigh, avoiding the inner thigh
• Upper arm — the back of the arm, if someone else is injecting for you
Rotate the injection site each week and avoid skin that is bruised, red, sore or irritated. Use a new needle for every injection and dispose of the used needle safely in a sharps bin.
